PURPOSE:To adjust the azimuthal deviation easily with high precision by supporting an azimuth adjusting plate, which is turned around a head gap, with a head carriage after the gap deviation of the head is adjusted. CONSTITUTION:A head block 45 whose projecting quantity, angle of inclination, misalignment, and flapping as the positional deviation from the center of interference fringes and the positional deviation from crossing lines are adjusted is stuck to an azimuth adjusting plate 256. The adjusting plate 256 can be turned around a pin 264 just under a head gap G, and a large-diameter part 272 of an eccentric pin 270 is inserted to a hole 266 of a head carriage 32, and a small- diameter part 274, and its axis is eccentric. Consequently, when the pin 270 is turned, the adjusting plate 256 is turned also, and a head 46 is turned around the gap G, and thus, the azimuthal deviation is adjusted easily with high precision. |
