<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lamp in which reflecting light is not dispersed by hitting the edges, and thereby colored light, for example, blue light in the vicinity of cut-off lines of a prescribed light distribution pattern can be eliminated. <P>SOLUTION: Edges 8, 81, 82, 83 of a shade 5 forming cut-off lines CL1, CL2, CL3 of a light distribution pattern for low-beam passing light are located closer to the projection lens 7 side than to the second focus F2 of a reflecting surface 4. As a result, the reflecting light L2 from the reflecting surface 4 is concentrated on a second focus F2 and will not hit the edge 8, thereby, the reflecting light L2 is not dispersed by hitting the edge 8. Accordingly, colored light, for example, blue light in the vicinity of the cut-off lines CL1, CL2, CL3 of the low beam light distribution pattern P can be extinguished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
