PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for improving contrast in a bright place which can improve black display by absorbing outdoor daylight incident on a display from the outside without necessitating high positioning between pixels and which can emit light for display from a display surface without absorbing the light for display in the display. SOLUTION: The member for improving contrast in a bright place 10 includes a light transmissive base material 11 having a pair of main surfaces, a microlens array arranged on one main surface of the light transmissive base material 11, a reflection layer 13 which is formed on another main surface of the light transmissive base material 11 and which has openings 13a where light converged by each microlens of the microlens array passes and a light shielding layer 14 provided on the reflection layer 13.
