<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal separator for a fuel cell having sufficient corrosion resistant property, easy to manufacture, capable of maintaining low surface contact resistance. <P>SOLUTION: Crystallization temperature of the metal separator for the fuel cell 10a, 10b is 500°C or higher. Indented parts 21, formed into plate-shape by using composite amorphous material made of Ni base amorphous phase with glass transition temperature of lower than crystallization temperature, having a constitution of dispersing TiN particles in a matrix, forming a gas diffusion layer between electrode layers when the plate face at one side is laminated on an electrode layer covering a polymeric solid electrolyte film of the fuel cell, is formed on the electrode layer. The metal separator for the fuel cell 10a, 10b are assembled in the fuel cell in a state of contacting the electrode layer.
