<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the sequence number of communication between a client and a server for controlling use of the server resource by the client. <P>SOLUTION: The server provides credit to the client, and the client consumes credit in order to transmit each command to the server. Each credit corresponds to one sequence number and an effective command window is formed by a set of sequence numbers. For each received command, the server forces such a state as that command includes one sequence number in the effective command window and that sequence number is not used for other command. The server can also hold a maximum window size and thereby even a client having a credit cannot transmit a command having a sequence number exceeding the maximum sequence number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
