<p>An air conditioner and a method of controlling a wind direction of the same are provided to prevent impurities from being introduced when the air conditioner is not in use by closing the plural air ports with plural vanes. An air conditioner comprises a body formed with plural air ports(2,4) where the air is sucked and discharged; plural vanes(46) placed at each air port; and plural vane motors(38,48) rotating each vane. The plural vanes contain a cooling air direction control vane(36) placed at the upper air port formed at the upper part of the body and a heating air direction control vane(46) arranged at the lower air port formed at the lower part of the body. The plural vane motors contain a cooling vane motor rotating the cooling air direction control vane and a heating vane motor rotating the heating air direction control vane.</p> |
