<p>A golf club management device manages the number of golf clubs received in partitioned sections provided or installed in a golf bag, and informs a variation in the number of the golf clubs caused by misplacing a golf club during golf play. Further, a security apparatus can be incorporated in the device to prevent a theft of a golf club that can occur at the time of check-in at or rest in a clubhouse, where the security apparatus is activated by the variation in the number of the golf clubs. Detection modules (4), each formed by integrating a transmission unit (40) and a light reception unit (41) by a frame, are chain-connected by a signal wire (5), in club detection regions of individual partitioned sections. A controller (3) processes sequential read-in of signals, indicating absence and presence of clubs, from the club detection modules, and the controller processes, by software, matching of the read signals with the individual partitioned sections. The number of the clubs that is detected is compared with the standard number of the clubs that is previously stored, and an activation signal of the security apparatus is outputted according to the result of the comparison.</p> |
