A word input method in a mobile terminal and a device thereof are provided to enable a user to sequentially press number keys only, which correspond to each consonant and vowel of a word to be inputted, in order to search combinations of the consonants and the vowels corresponding to each number key and a combined word within a dictionary, therefore the user can continuously presume a desired word. A key input unit(100) inputs key button values where consonants and vowels of a word to be inputted by a user are allocated. A key combination generator(200) generates and combines consonants and vowels corresponding to inputted keys. A verifier(300) decides whether the generated and combined consonants and vowels exist in a directional DB(400). A display unit(500) displays the verified consonants and vowels. |
