摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper curve interpolation method in a machine tool having two or more rotary shafts. SOLUTION: Interpolation points Q<SB>0</SB>, Q<SB>1</SB>to Q2<SB>n</SB>are obtained by interpolating among points of a command point sequence P<SB>0</SB>, P<SB>1</SB>to P<SB>n</SB>(S1 to S3), and the sequence is decomposed into a column constituted only of straight line axial elements and a column constituted of rotary axial elements (S1 to S8, S17, S18), so that approximation curves can be respectively obtained (S9, S11). The points of the straight line axial elements and the points of the rotary axial elements are moved to the respective approximation curves, so that corrected command points Q<SB>i1</SB>' and Q<SB>i2</SB>' can be obtained (S10 to S12). The corrected command points Q<SB>i1</SB>' and Q<SB>i2</SB>' are compounded so that a composite corrected command point Q<SB>i</SB>' can be obtained (S13). One stage differentials at positions on the two approximation curves corresponding to each interpolation point are calculated and compounded, so that a composite one stage differentiated value Q<SB>i</SB><SP>(1)'</SP>can be calculated (S14). Then, a curve passing the composite corrected command point Q<SB>i</SB>' is generated by the composite corrected command point Q<SB>i'</SB>and the composite one stage differentiated value Q<SB>i</SB><SP>(1)'</SP>, so that the curve can be interpolated. The curve is generated by dividing the command point sequence into the straight line axial elements and rotary axial elements whose dimensions are different, and searching corrected command points, so that much more proper curve interpolation can be executed.
