<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of easily searching a desired image from recorded images. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing method disclosed herein includes: a step S401 of reading a target image (recorded image); a step S402 of determining a magnification factor of the target image; a step S403 of generating a thumbnail picture of the target image on the basis of the magnification factor; and a step S404 of recording the thumbnail picture.
