The invention relates to a surface modified water glass comprising organic radicals as dedusting agents, to the production method thereof, in addition to a lightening agent for human hair which is in a powder form and which contains the inventive dedusting agent in addition to at least one solid peroxo compound. Said stable lightening powder has improved pourability and a reduced dust ratio.
