PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately find a section in a vascular system and improve the detection of the time interval required to pass blood through the section. SOLUTION: A data set 17 for describing a blood vessel system in a space is fed to a computer 2 in advance. A section of the vascular system is selected. The computer 2 calculates the length of the selected section based on the data set 17 for describing the vascular system in the space. A Sequence of images Bi of the vascular system is pre-specified to the computer 2. A time ti is assigned to each image Bi. One image Bi respectively of sequence is defined as a start image or a stop image. Based on the length of the selected section and the time ti assigned to the start image and the stop image, the computer 2 calculates the velocity, which is outputted to a user 14 with the selected section.
