PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner, comprising a plurality of air passages between a cleaner main body and a suction nozzle, in which a rotatable connection structure between the cleaner main body and the suction nozzle is simplified. SOLUTION: A handle 2 is provided at an upper part of the cleaner main body 1 including a dust collecting chamber 9. The suction nozzle 4 is provided at a lower part of the cleaner main body 1 to be rotatable back and forth through a hinge mechanism 5 to be grounded on a target surface 3. At a back part of the suction nozzle 4, a joint pipe 13 of a roughly inverted T form is provided, integrally comprising a first pipe part 13A of a roughly L shape to compose a first air passage 22 from the suction nozzle 4 to the dust collecting chamber 9, and a second pipe part 13B to compose a second air passage 23 from the dust collecting chamber 9 to an electric blower 7. A first and second lateral pipe parts 14 and 15, roughly coaxial with each other, of the pipe parts 13A and 13B of the joint pipe 13 form a rotary shaft of the hinge mechanism 5. A first and second vertical pipe parts 16 and 17, roughly parallel to each other, of the pipe parts 13A and 13B form a connection part to the cleaner main body 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
