<p>A composite element includes an outer layer containing a material from thermoplastics or metals; supporting layer comprising a reinforced polyurethane material; and optionally, a decorative inner layer. The supporting layer comprises a reinforced polyurethane material containing internal in-mold release additive(s) from polycondensate(s) of carboxylic acids, optionally carboxylic acid(s), and optionally ammonium salt(s) of carboxylic acid(s). A composite element comprises: (1) an outer layer containing a material from thermoplastics or metals; (2) supporting layer comprising a reinforced polyurethane (PU) material; and (3) optionally, a decorative inner layer. There is adhesion between layers (1-3). The reinforced PU material comprises internal in-mold release additive(s) comprising: (A) polycondensate(s) of carboxylic acids having a chain length of 8-40C, that are optionally mixed with dicarboxylic acid(s) and/or polyhydric alcohol(s); (B) optionally carboxylic acid(s) having a chain length of 8-40C; and (C) optionally ammonium salt(s) of carboxylic acid(s) having a chain length of 8-40C, and diamine(s) having primary amino group(s) and tertiary amino group(s). An independent claim is also included for a process for producing the composite elements, comprising: (1) introducing an outer layer into the bottom shell of a mold; (2) optionally, introducing a decorative material as inner layer into the top shell of the mold; (3) optionally, applying a fiber mat reinforcement into the outer layer, into the decorative material, or into the top shell of the mold; (4) applying a PU material into the outer layer or into the fiber mat reinforcement; (5) reacting the PU material in the mold; and (6) removing the resultant PU composite element from the mold. The PU material comprises polyisocyanate(s), isocyanate-reactive compound(s), optionally reinforcing material(s), catalyst(s), blowing agent(s), optionally, additive(s) and/or auxiliary substance(s), and in-mold release additive(s).</p> |
