Class 109 A laying device for use in the manufacture of ropes comprises a rotatable frame carrying a bobbin or drum on which the rope is wound, and a cam journalled in the frame and rotated relatively to the frame, the cam controlling the movement of a laying arm for the rope. Rope 8 from a rope making machine is passed over rollers in an arm 7 oscillated by followers 5 in a track of a cam disc 2 rotated relative to a frame 3 in which is mounted a bobbin 9 for receiving the rope.</p> |
