PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of obtaining a photographed image from which an obstacle subject is eliminated without imposing a troublesome job on a user. SOLUTION: When the digital camera focuses a major subject SB, the obstacle subject OB located before the major subject SB is out of focus, and its image is blurred. The blurred image is produced from an image of the obstacle subject OB which is focused. Eliminating the produced image component from the image photographed by focusing the major subject SB produces the image wherein no obstacle subject OB is photographed.
