<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly determine appropriate light emitting power of each optical pickup when information is recorded into an optical disk using a plurality of optical pickups. <P>SOLUTION: Steps of (1) moving to a test writing area, (2) recording test data into the test writing area, (3) moving to a head position of an area into which the test data are recorded, (4) reproducing the test data, and (5) determining appropriate power, are performed in parallel for two optical pickup units respectively. Appropriate light emitting power of each optical pickup unit is acquired in a short period of time, as a result, recording having high recording quality is performed into an optical disk in a short period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
