PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of automatically identifying an added node in a network wherein a plurality of nodes are interconnected. SOLUTION: The electronic controller 1 comprises: a first storage means 7 for storing the cross-reference between each of the electronic control apparatuses 1 connected to the network and identification information unique to each of the electronic control apparatuses 1; a recognition means 11 that compares the electronic control apparatus identification information transmitted from the other electronic control apparatuses via the network with the storage information in the first storage means 7 so as to recognize what kinds of the electronic control apparatuses are connected to the network; a second storage means 7 for storing the information of the electronic control apparatuses recognized by the recognition means 11 and connected to the network; and a control means 12 for controlling storage of the information of the electronic control apparatuses recognized by the recognition means 11 and connected to the network to the second storage means 7.
