PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrided member having the improved toughness, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A steel plate is prepared, in which the percentage of weight of titanium present not as a compound, but as an element form is≤0.05% (S101), the steel plate is pressed to a predetermined shape (S102), the pressed steel plate is nitrided at high temperature (S103), and the nitrided steel plate is cooled (S104).
