<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detection device or a method in which a structure including a piezo-electric element which generates power by itself by change in shape is attached to a main point part of motion of a motion detection object, and the motion detection object such as people, does not need to wear a power supply to drive a transmission device etc. <P>SOLUTION: A motion detection device contains; a structure including a piezo-electric element attached to at least one main motion point part 2a-2m of the motion detection object 1; a receiving means 6 for receiving a signal based on power generated in the structure including piezo-electric element by movement of the motion detection object 1; and a signal processing means 8 for detecting motion information of the main motion point part 2a-2m of the motion detection object 1. The receiving means can also be a photodetector 6 for receiving light from a light emitter by setting up a photodetector for converting the power generated by the structure which contains the piezo-electric element into the signal of light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
