PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract characteristics of a three-dimensional shape and perform similarity comparison processing. SOLUTION: A projected plan forming means 11 forms, from three-dimensional data of a comparison object source model, a plurality of comparison source projected drawings by projecting the shape of the comparison object source model in parallel from different projecting directions, and also forms a plurality of comparison destination projected drawings in the same manner from three-dimensional data of a comparison object destination model. A projected drawing comparison means 11b successively compares a comparison source projected drawing in an optional projecting direction with a plurality of comparison destination projected drawing differed in projecting direction, and takes a similarity calculated from the most similar comparison destination projected drawing as the drawing similarity of the comparison object destination model to the comparison source projected drawing in this projecting direction. The same processing performed to the comparison source projected drawings in all projecting directions of the comparison object source model, and the drawing similarities of the comparison object destination model to the comparison source projected drawings in all the projecting directions. A similarity calculation means 11c calculates the similarity of the comparison object destination model to the comparison object source model using all the drawing similarities.
