PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transfer an object to a required position without receiving an influence of periodical torque fluctuation generated in a driving system of a transferring roller in a transferring apparatus for transferring the object to a specified position by rotating and driving the transferring roller through a motor. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for transferring a recording paper by rotating the transferring roller 50, a phase where a periodical torque fluctuation generated in a driving system of the transferring roller 50 becomes maximum is stored in a register 85 as a central value D of the phase of periodical fluctuation. When an image is formed, and the recording papers are successively transferred by repeating electrical energization/shutting to an LF motor 54, at a time when electrical energization to the LF motor 54 is disclosed, at a correcting amount setting part 96, a phase difference Cdd between a phase Dc of the periodical fluctuation at an OFF position of the next LF motor and the central value D of the phase of the periodical fluctuation is obtained, to correct the OFF position of the motor so that it becomes more delayed when this phase difference Cdd becomes smaller.
