PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for preventing the fall-down of a punch in a forging apparatus, wherein a product having high concentricity can be formed by preventing the fall-down of the punch at the forming time. SOLUTION: In the forging apparatus for pressurize-forming a work (20) by interposing the workpiece (20) between a die (3) arranged at the base-side and the punch (17) arranged at a ram-side and shifting the punch (17) in the die (3) direction, at the one side of the outer peripheral side of the die (3) and outer peripheral side of the punch (17), a tapered-state female guide (8a) is formed and at the other side, a tapered-state male guide (18a) is formed. When the punch (17) press-forms the workpiece (20), the female guide (8a) and the male guide (18a) are mutually press-inserted so as to keep the right-angle degree to the punch (17) and the die (3) by the press-insert part. Further, the press-inserting ratio of the male guide (18a) to the female guide (8a) when the punch press-forms the workpiece, is set to≤1% and further, the tapered angles of the female guide (8a) and the male guide (18a) are set to≤3°.
