<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for protecting a motor or a similar electrical device, such as a pump against explosions and is obtained by improving an apparatus so constructed that a motor has a protective housing and operates, in cooperation with a measuring sensor housed in a characteristic protective housing, that is coupled with the motor and which is high in reliability protection against explosions with minimum cost. <P>SOLUTION: The motor protective housing (1, 1') and a sensor protecting housing (9) are formed for protection classes having various different heights.
