PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast recording and reproducing apparatus and a digital broadcast recording and reproducing method which can correctly reproduce data of data broadcast even in the case of a special reproduction operation state. SOLUTION: A MPEG2-TS filter 13 separates data of the data broadcast included in a broadcast wave of digital broadcasting from video and audio of main broadcast, and records the video and audio of the main broadcast to a HDD 14. A data collection section 17 records the data of the data broadcast separated by the MPEG2-TS filter 13 to the HDD 14 independently of the video and audio of the main broadcast. A data broadcast processing section 18 reproduces the data of the data broadcast recorded in the HDD 14 synchronously with the reproduction time of the video and audio of the main broadcast on the basis of display start time information and display end time information of the data.
