A mobile wireless device that achieves a high reception sensitivity and a frequency characteristic of a wider band. There are included a loop element (5) that is included in a case and acts as a TV broadcast reception antenna; and an expansion element (6) that has an electric length of approximately half-wavelength and acts as a TV broadcast reception antenna. The expansion element (6) has one of its ends electrically connected to a high impedance part (5D) of the loop element (5) and further has the other end used as an open end. Moreover, the expansion element (6) is constructed such that it can rotate in any direction while being extended.
