<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform correction by appropriately combining correction based on toner image detection and correction by detection of a light beam so as to prevent the corrections from exerting an adverse effect each other, and form good images without aggravating productivity and without color misregistration. <P>SOLUTION: By using the initialization and correction of waiting time by the detection of a light beam by SOS sensors 40YM and 40CK (and an EOS sensor 41M) and initial value registration and correction of the amount of misregistration based on the detection of color misregistration detection pattern 202 formed on a transfer belt 18A by a density sensor 200 in combination, color misregistration is unerringly prevented by utilizing the advantages of both and overcoming the disadvantages. When the initialization of the waiting time is repeated on the SOS sensor side, the color misregistration detection pattern 202 is re-formed and misregistration is initialized anew to maintain a correlation in the waiting time by the SOS sensor or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
