<p>A noise canceller capable of removing the noise included in an input signal without producing a noise component inside the noise canceller. A noise period detecting section (8) detects the noise inclusion period t for which noise is included in the input signal Sin. A correction period setting section (9) sets a correction period which is the sum of the noise inclusion period t and an additional period Tadd. For the correction period (t+Tadd), a holding section (6) holds the input signal Sin and outputs a hold signal SHA. A first mute section (4) generates a correction signal SB by muting the input signal Sin, and a second mute section (7) generates an interpolation signal SA by muting the hold signal SHA. A gain adjusting section (10) adjusts the gains of first and second mute means at least for the noise inclusion period t and the additional period Tadd within the correction period, and a combining section (5) combines the correction signal SB and the interpolation signal SA thus generated. With this, by removing the included noise without producing a new noise component of high frequency, an output signal Sout similar to the input signal Sin is generated.</p> |
