<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of low spatial resolution phenomenon and fading (color fading) phenomenon in conventional BaFBr: Eu<SP>2+</SP>based imaging plates. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging plate has a fluorescent layer consisting of crystals or a thin film of lithium fluoride, or consisting of crystals or a thin film obtained by doping lithium fluoride with magnesium ions.
