PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure in a linear drive device constituted such that at least three units are mutually relatively moved. SOLUTION: The first unit 11, the second unit 12 and the third unit 13 are arranged in this order and are provided so as to be mutually relatively moved along the same axis. The first unit and the second are axially connected to each other by a first screw shaft 51 and a first nut 52 thread-engaged with it respectively and a distance between those is varied by rotation of the first nut 52. The second unit 12 and the third unit 13 are axially connected to each other by a second screw shaft 55 and a second nut 56 thread-engaged with it respectively and in the first screw shaft 51 and the second screw shaft 55, winding directions of the screw are opposite to each other.
