PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device for an engine for processing blow-by gas, while preventing a breather pipe exposed in open air from being choked even in a cold district. SOLUTION: This breather device 7 has a breather chamber 8 provided inside a gear case 2 in an upper part thereof, and the breather pipe 9 extended from the breather chamber 8 and communicated with an intake pipe 3 of the engine. The breather pipe 9 is tightly arranged along the lateral peripheral surface and a lower peripheral surface of the gear case 2. The breather pipe 9 tightly arranged on the gear case 2 is separated from the gear case 2 at a position obliquely under the intake pipe 3, and connected to the intake pipe 3 from under the intake pipe 3.
