PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cord which has a characteristic of producing no toxic gas when burned, has high flame retardant properties and also has a characteristic of the surface not turning red in the lapse of time, in particular, a tint optical fiber cord of which the discoloring is prevented. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cord 50 is constructed by sequentially arranging a buffer coating 52 and a sheath layer 51 on an outer circumferential surface of a coated optical fiber 10 in the order of going away from the coated optical fiber 10. A flame retardant resin composition used for the sheath layer 51 is characterized in that the flame retardant resin composition contains a polyolefin containing no halogen as a base resin and contains a metal hydroxide and an antioxidant, and that the antioxidant contains a group of phenolic molecules, and an atom to be bonded to a carbon atom occupying a para position of an OH group in the group of phenolic molecules is a quarternary carbon, a sulfur or a phosphorous.
