PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure tube pump arrangement which can move and remove bubbles remaining in the channel of an ink supply unit easily. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises an ink jet recording head for forming an image of ink by arranging a plurality of nozzles for ejecting liquid and a plurality of recording elements generating ejection energy, an ink tank for supplying ink to the ink jet recording head, a pressure tube pump for pressure supplying ink from the ink tank to the ink jet recording head by collapsing a tube through rotary operation of a rotator having a plurality of press rollers attached to the circumference thereof and a tube guide, and an ink supply unit having an ink channel from the ink tank to the ink jet recording head through the pressure tube pump wherein the pressure tube pump is arranged to vary a pressure produced during transportation of liquid positively.
