PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a lift type multistory parking space capable of increasing the vertically moving speed of a vehicle-loading frame with a simple constitution at low costs. SOLUTION: The controller 100 of the lift type multistory parking space has table data 74 constituted by storing a plurality of pieces of command information corresponding to the number of vehicles loaded on the vehicle-loading frame for sending commands to an inverter circuit 61 for raising the rotational speed of a motor 21. A load weight detecting means 72 detects the weight of the load loaded on the vehicle-loading frame on the basis of the burden of the motor 21 during vertical movement of the frame by a vertical movement starting stage controlling means 71, and a command selection means 73 selects the command information corresponding to the number of the vehicles loaded on the frame from the table data 74 on the basis of the above detection result. An ascending speed controlling means 75 sends the command information selected as stated above to the inverter circuit 61 to increase the rotational speed of the motor 21.
