<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a superior bonding property to a rare-earth sintered magnet having a metallic plating film. <P>SOLUTION: Ultraviolet ray ozone is applied to a rare-earth sintered magnet wherein a metallic plating film, e. g. Ni plating film is formed on its surface. Through such the ultraviolet-ray irradiation, bonding blocking matters are removed from the surface of the metallic plating film, and the surface is reformed and the magnet is bonded.
