PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect heating type stirring drying machine capable of efficiently drying a material in a state that moisture evaporating from the material is hardly re-absorbed to the material. SOLUTION: A pair of rotating shafts 2, 2 having a plurality of stirring blades 3 inside of a double U-type casing 1 are horizontally arranged in parallel with each other, rotating directions of both rotating shafts 2, 2 are determined to be directed to an inner side of the casing 1 at a lower side with respect to their centers of rotation, a pipe 5 having a plurality of holes 5a longitudinally formed at prescribed intervals is horizontally mounted at a lower part of an intermediate point of the rotational centers of both rotating shafts 2, 2, and a gas is supplied into the casing 1 from the pipe 5, so that the moisture evaporating from the material indirectly heated in the casing 1 is quickly released from a material layer with the gas supplied from the pipe 5, and hardly re-absorbed to the material.
