PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting a spindle from a deterioration caused by lubrication faults and improving a capability of detecting and examining spindle breakdown or erroneous handling of a spindle. SOLUTION: The invention concerns the method for protecting revolving equipment 26, 13 which receives load from the temperature of a working device 15. This working device 15 is equipped with a temperature sensor 14 and temperature block on one of the revolving equipment. The method is to input a specific parameter to the temperature block, to predict the value of a temperature increase arising due to the action of the revolving equipment, and to measure the temperature of the revolving equipment itself. Based on the comparison of the predicted temperature and measured temperature, an event signal is issued if a remarkable difference between them continues. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
