A former nose (13) is fixed at bottom end of the former (10) which is pivoted about a pivot point (14) such that the noise is displaceable horizontally. The inclination angle of the former is changed during displacement of the nose. A former spread angle is set as a function of the inclination angle of the former and the number of pages to be folded. The outer edges of the folding section of the product (15) are aligned with the other sections of the product. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production method of printed product; and (2) folding method of printed product.
