PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush capable of minimizing the lowering of brushing force and the deterioration of feelings caused by the opening of bristles and also linking the open state of the bristles with a replacement time of a toothbrush and judging the replacement time of the toothbrush more accurately from the open state of the bristles. SOLUTION: In a toothbrush in which a plurality of bristle bundles formed by bundling bristles are planted on a bristle planting surface 2 of a head part 1, one or more arbitrary bristle bundles 4a at least in the plurality of bristle bundles are set as an "indicator bristle bundles" meaning the bristle bundles also serving as an indicator for informing the replacement time of the toothbrush by judging from its open state, and the elongation recovery ratio of the bristles 3a constituting the indicator bristle bundles 4a is set smaller than that of the ordinary bristle bundles 4b surrounding the indicator bristle bundles 4a.
