PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability of a shield by preventing jetting of a tear-gas spray by mistake while keeping operability of the tear-gas spray and to reduce a cost of the shield for self-defence in order to solve problems that it takes much cost to work a handle in a constitution of storing the tear-gas spray, and there is a concern about handling the tear-gas spray, which prohibits the wide use of the shield for self-defence. SOLUTION: A spray can is vertically fixed to a rear face of a plate-shaped shield main body comprising a handle, a tip of an injection nozzle of the spray can is directed to a front surface from the rear face of the shield main body, a lever member is vertically rotatably mounted on a spray mounting holder for fixing the shield main body or the spray can in such a state that its one end is faced to an upper portion of an injection button of the spray can, and the other end is faced to the neighborhood of a handle gripping position as an operating portion, and the injection switch of the spray can is pressed by operating the operating portion of the lever member by a thumb when the handle is gripped.
