To provide, in an outdoor unit having a trunk type structure, a cooling structure for inverter control elements that can eliminate restrictions on the disposition of an inverter board. An outdoor unit (2) has a structure where the space inside a substantially rectangular parallelepiped box-shaped unit casing (51) is partitioned into a blower chamber (S 1 ) and a machine chamber (S 2 ) by a partition plate (58) and is disposed with: an outdoor heat exchanger (26) and an outdoor fan (32) that are disposed inside the blower chamber (S 1 ); a compressor (22) that is disposed inside the machine chamber (S 2 ); a receiver (36) that is disposed inside the machine chamber (S 2 ) and is capable of temporarily storing high pressure liquid refrigerant; and first and second electrical equipment units (82, 83). The second electrical equipment unit (83) that serves as an inverter board is disposed inside the machine chamber (S 2 ), includes inverter control elements mounted thereon, and is attached to the receiver (36). |
