PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner which has superior rise in electrification by the satisfactory dispersion of an electrification control agent, which has sufficient image density from the initial beginning of the printing until after the printing of a multitude of sheets, and in which ground fogging or scattering of the toner is not generated; and to provide a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic toner. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is made by pulverizing a kneading composition including at least a binder resin, a colorant, and electrification control agent pre-treated with an inorganic particulate. In the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic toner, the raw materials to be used for the kneading composition are not simultaneously mixed, and the electrification control agent is first pre-treated by the inorganic particulate.
