A compound capable of promoting the ubiquitination of a protein comprising an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, 2 or 3 or a partial peptide or salt thereof or a salt of the compound; a compound capable of promoting the degradation of the protein or partial peptide or salt thereof by a proteosome or a salt of the compound; or the like can be used as an agent for the prevention/treatment of, for example, a neurodegenerative disease. The protein comprising an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, 2 or 3 or a partial peptide or salt thereof or the like is useful for the screening for a compound having a preventive/therapeutic effect on a neurodegenerative disease or a salt of the compound.
