PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the inconvenience of bringing a person into the state of being locked out because a misoperation of a guard arm is caused by a shock in the opening/closing of a door and the like, in a door guard which comprises a guard arm swingably attached to an inner surface of the door and a retainer member attached to a door frame in the state of facing the guard arm, and which regulates the opening/closing angle of the door within the range of the length of a guide groove by making the guard arm fall to the side of the retainer member, inserting a head part of the retainer member into the guide groove, provided in the guard arm, and engaging the head part with the guide groove. SOLUTION: The guard arm 2 is attached in such a manner as to be slidable in the width direction of the door 1; an opened part 9 is provided at the attachment base-side end of the guide groove which is provided in the guard arm 2; the guard arm 2 and the retainer member 4 are brought into an unengaged state when the guard arm 2 recedes in the direction of being separated from the door frame 3; and the head part 46 of the retainer member 4 makes an entry into the guide groove from the opened part 9 so as to be put into an engaged state, when the guard arm 2 advances from the unengaged state.
