PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave heating device ensuring even heating of an object to be heated by suppressing local heating peculiar to microwave heating without reducing heating efficiency of the object to be heated. SOLUTION: A plurality of passages 13-16 are arranged in a microwave space 9 wherein a microwave emitted from a microwave emission means 11 can propagate. Incoming and outgoing of a dielectric 17 to/from the plurality of passages are controlled by a control means 33. A permittivity distribution condition of the microwave space 9 is changed according to the existence of the dielectric 17 in the plurality of passages 13-16 to change a microwave distribution. Thereby, the microwave distribution in a heating chamber 3 contained in the microwave space 9 can be changed, and the electric field distribution of the microwave around the object 2 to be heated housed in the heating chamber 3 changes. Thus, the local heating like when heating with a single distribution is suppressed to equalize heating of the object to be heated 2 for improving the outcome after heating.
