<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a salt damage preventing equipment for an insulator for wiring, capable of adapting to changes in wind directions and standing the use, even in the case of an axis direction of the insulator slanted from the vertical direction, without bringing forth salt damage, even in an ultra-heavy salt damage region which a prior-art salt-proof type insulator cannot cope with. <P>SOLUTION: The salt damage preventing equipment of the insulator for wiring is made up of a windbreak cover 2, arranged so as to surround the entire periphery around the axis periphery of the insulator for wiring 1. The windbreak cover 2 is formed of pure titanium, a titanium alloy or stainless steel, fixed to the insulator for wiring 1. If it is to be constituted of a single windbreak cover 2, a whole or nearly a whole length of the insulator for wiring is covered, with one end of the windbreak cover 2 being fixed to the insulator 1, and the other end open. When it is structured of two windbreak covers (3, 4), open end parts of the two windbreak covers will overlap each other, without touching each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
