摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CVJ tripod whose downsizing can be achieved while preserving its enough strength and to provide its manufacturing method and equipment. SOLUTION: There is provided a CVJ tripod 1 including a basilar portion 2, a fitting shaft 3 protruding from the basilar portion 2 to one side, and trunnion shafts 4, 4, 4 protruding, from the basilar portion 2, in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the fitting shaft 3. The CVJ tripod 1 is integrally molded through forging processing by using the manufacturing equipment equipped with an upper mold 53 formed with an upper cavity 53a corresponding to a portion at a side in the fitting shaft 3 of the basilar portion 2 and a portion at a side of the fitting shaft 3 of the trunnion shafts 4, 4, 4, a lower mold formed with a lower cavity 54a corresponding to a portion at a side opposite to the fitting shaft 3 of the basilar portion 2 and a portion at a side opposite to the fitting shaft 3 of the trunnion shafts 4, 4, 4, and a punch 55 inserted slidably into a hole 54b for making an outer portion of the lower mold 54 and the lower cavity 54a communicate with each other.
