A fusarium toxin resistant transformed plant devoid of the function of vacuole processing enzyme. Further, there is provided a process for producing a fusarium toxin resistant transformed plant devoid of the function of vacuole processing enzyme, comprising the steps of (1) obtaining a vector containing a DNA capable of altering an endogenous gene coding for a vacuole processing enzyme, or a DNA coding for an RNA capable of inhibiting the expression of an endogenous gene coding for a vacuole processing enzyme, (2) introducing the vector obtained in the step (1) in plant cells to thereby obtain plant cells devoid of the function of vacuole processing enzyme, and (3) regenerating a transformed plant from the plant cells obtained in the step (2).
