<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light beam deflector furnished with an inexpensive cubic prism having a reflection face, on which an astigmatic difference correction means is applied, for deflecting and scanning. <P>SOLUTION: When a light beam modulated according to picture information is passed through the incident face of a cubic prism 38 which is rotationally driven, reflected on a reflection face 39, emitted from an emitting face, deflected and scanned, an astigmatic difference correction face 48, which is set at an appropriate correction tilt angle and in a tilt direction for correcting an astigmatism generated by that the light beam is passed through the incident face, reflected on the reflection face and passed through the emission face, is formed on at least either the incident face or the emitting face of the light beam on the cubic prism 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
