MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY BINDING TO HUMAN STEROID SULFATASE

There has been required an antibody capable of binding specifically to human steroid sulfatase (hereinafter abbreviated as STS). It is intended to provide an antibody or an antibody fragment which binds specifically to human STS but not to allyl sulfatase other than human STS; and a hybridoma producing this antibody. It is also intended to provide an immunological detection method or an immunological quantification method for human STS by using the antibody or the antibody fragment as described above; an immunological detection reagent or a kit and an immunological quantification reagent or a kit for human STS; and an immunological detection method or an immunological quantification method for human STS, and an immunological detection reagent or a kit and an immunological quantification reagent or a kit for human STS, each aiming at diagnosing a human STS-related disease, selecting a drug suitable for the treatment of a human STS-related disease and evaluating the pathological conditions in a human STS-related disease by using the antibody or the antibody fragment as described above.
